The South-East Branch of the Sierra Leone Grammar School Alumni Association of North America was established in Atlanta, Georgia, in August, 2007, by charter of its umbrella organization, the SLGSAANA, based in Washington DC. The logistics of travelling within the continental USA had been a limiting factor for many interested Regentonians who wished to participate in the Alumni Association. Thus the South-East Branch provides an opportunity for alumni in the region to meet and raise funds for the operations of our beloved alma mater.
The school has a variety of needs, but the SLGSAANA-SE branch has made our Scholarship Program our project of focus. This means much of our resources go to maintaining the scholarships we currently have, in addition to expanding the scholarship program.
Expanding the Scholarship Program means making scholarships available to more students through programs such as partial awards for tuition, or one-time awards. We are currently sponsoring nineteen (19) students.
